Good morning!

I'm visiting Melbourne and brought my gear.... living in Kensington/Flemington for the next 3 months.

I believe St Kilda is the closest location for a kite? Is that correct?

I was just wondering what is the closest place to go and what wind directions it works?

Thanks a lot! Much appreciated.

yeah, St. Kilda (the Bondi of the surfing world, and the Newtown of grunge) on a southerly. No where close on a Northerly (Rosebud?).

Check out this website and baywx.com for wind.

Cheers

welcome to Melbourne where you can kite all year.
check this site

www.peterskiteboarding.com/

also look in VIC forums and you will find a lot more information.

During winter N, NE, N, NW the best spot is Rosebud (6 km of flat water and some wind waves)
from the West direction will be from St Kilda up to Rosebud

cheers
