Looking like we'll be getting some wind today/tomorrow for VIC. Hoping to get a session out at St Kilda this arvo. Anyone got any thoughts on what conditions are likely?

Seabreeze's forecast is showing a solid boost in wind strength this evening, however most of the other forecast sites aren't showing anything nearly as significant. Seabreeze is also showing a WNW, which again isn't shown on other forecasts.

So will you be kiting, and if so, where?

I will be out if it's windy, I don't think a WNW would work at St K. I'll be down at Brighton or Hampton if the wind comes in. Looks like its around 12 knots W now so hopefully it'll come in later around 11-12 ish.

Yeah I would imagine St Kilda would be super gusty with any touch of North in the wind. If it does go a bit more North I might try brighton I reckon.

Got a nice but rather light hour at st kilda tonight before the sun went down. From about 7:30-8:30pm. Wind was probably around 16-20knots.

I gave up on the wind and went for a surf down the coast instead. I actually checked the wind at like 5 just before I left at it was still very light, looks like it picked up after 6:30ish.

Plenty of wind today though after last night's change.

Anyone hoping for an arvo sesh out at St Kilda today once the change rolls through?

I'm thinking it will be gusty...
