Hi, I am pretty new to the kite surfing (7 lessons) and hoping to take my new gear out this evening. Is St Kilda kite-able in WSW? if not where would you recommend close to the city?

Any where from stkilda to Frankston really.
Anything westish is generally pretty gusty/ rainy though as well as being pretty Onshore so the risk factors are greater
Not saying don't go just be aware a play it safe
Have a good look at the forecast and don't put up a big kite just because the wind drops for a while.

Cheers for the advice. I'm riding an 11m cabrinha. I'll have a scout down the coast to see if anyone is out and hopefully get a launch.
