there was a guy kiting a blue liquid force at altona today, wearing white boardies and rashie... (definitely not local)

not sure if you are aware of the rules but we are not meant to kite within certain distance from the pier...

Now, while some kiters don't obey this rule when it's cold weather and no other beach users, it's not such a big deal i suppose. But i noticed this guy today riding fast between swimmers in shallows very close to the beach. On multiple occasions riding between two kids playing with the ball about 4 meters apart from each other. I'm not sure if you are new to kiting, but this could potentially have very bad consequences... for example if you happen to loose control due to a gust or whatever... Anyway, anyone with a slightest amount of common sense or regard for the society around them would not do this, so mate, please don't do this. If anyone knows this guy, please let him know such behavior is not welcome...

Was St Kilda closed today? I can only assume so based on the kiters (quite a few) I saw jumped 15m from shore with people on the beach, also making it difficult for launching kiters to get out. That sort of behaviour is normally reserved for the StK show ponies. All of this while there was heaps of beautiful flat water unused 200m away? Normally I don't mind having flat water to myself but when it has potential for bans, I have an issue with it.

Saw another kiter crash a Naish into the beach while people were walking along it not far from the pier, looked like a newbie trying to get out, but I was too far away on the water to see exactly what happened.

Nice. You got it as the wind was dying off. Even caught a couple of me.
