HeyRosie, completely agree and will 2nd that post. I was at St.kilda Wednesday and found out kiters are a great bunch of people. After finishing my lesson with an instructor I continued solo.
Had a rest for a while and helped land and launch a few guys. Talked to a few about the day, where I was at etc, then went back out after a few encouraging words for another crack. Still trying to get up and riding, but making baby steps by getting up and moving awkwardly 10-15mtrscat a time. After a massive face plant one guy waded out to check I was ok, recover my board and give me a couple pointers. Champion effort by a guy to take time out to help.
Later landed, talked to few guys packed up and went home. Was totally excited by the whole day, in particular the comraderie and teamwork all the kiters showed to one another. I was always worried about "surfies culture", but it really was not the case.
Kiters are ace!

Cheers Steve
