I got caught out being overpowered at Rosebud on my 10 NRG last time and made the decision to bail (after being prompted by one of the local instructors). Was spewing at it's 90 minutes from my place; but I'm still really only just up and riding downwind. Have not had any time to practice this winter due to family illness and work . Itching like crazy for the better winds to come! Also hadn't had any experience in kiting above 20kts (I think it was gusting up well over 30 that day).
Tomorrow looks like it may quieten down a little later in the afternoon now
www.bom.gov.au/marine/wind.shtml?location=vic-mel&tz=AEDT so tempted to make the trek down. Maybe the additional winter fat will act as ballast
