saw a greenish slingshot get blown away from someone at st Kilda and flew across the road after getting stuck on a pole/tree. did anyone see what happened or caused it? unsure if anyone was hurt. fairly gusty conditions.

I missed the incident but heard about it. I believe he was back on the water afterwards. Challenging conditions.

yeah that bloke was super lucky not to get injured or cause a car crash.

I had finished and ran across road to grab his kite which was in the tree still powered up and stopping traffic.

I'm not sure why he would not let the lot go?

I ran his kite back across the rd and put it back on the beach while to pulled his lines out from around the light pole and tree.

His middle lines where wrapped around the bar, eg no safety or depower, but he could have pulled an oh **** handle on the outside lines?

I think it was a case of rushing to get back out onto the water, possibly a lack of experience and hopefully a wake up to practice what to do if things go wrong quickly.

I've had my share of close calls, I've even pulled my safety at altona to watch kite fly over top of power lines.
The cause was me being dumb, riding too powered on suicide and not giving myself enough water.
My quick decision to pull the pin stopped me from getting smashed!

No injury, he went back out kiting, was nice and windy!

Somebody scratched my car too, it's the orange ford ranger ute! Looks like a fin or board was most likely pulled by the wind and took paint off between from drivers wheel arch and the headlight.

IF YOUR GOING TO BE DUMB YOU BETTER BE TOUGH.

Could not agree more! I don't condone uncontrolled violence but that kind of thing should cost a few teeth.
