I got asked to pass on this message yesterday from the lifesavers at cosy/point danger, they are a bit annoyed with kiters getting too close to swimmers and their flag area, they are concerned a swimmer might get hurt by a kite.

Can kiters keep a bit of distance to keep the peace or we
could end up getting banned.

I think the lifesavers on most beaches have generally been more accepting of kiters than they need to be as long as they stay away from swimmers and beachgoers. One even landed my kite yesterday
