The simple way to find spots is to look at a map (Google Earth is good).

Find yourself a beach that aligns roughly with the direction you want, with not too much obstructions upwind, and hopefully a bail out beach downwind and go nuts.

Just about any beach on the east side of the bay is ok in a NW but true NW winds are rare.

Mostly we get due North with a little variation to either side.

Brighton is doable for a competent rider in due N and people say they kite at Williamstown in due N.

Once you get out past the reef at Brighton the next land is Dromana. Kites have been lost for good from Brighton.
