ie travel 6 weeks mid of march 2011 till 20 of April in the area perth up to geralton.

i am a experienced kiter 75kg, and i own 19qm, 12qm and 9qm kites.



What kite sizes should i take with me? necessary to purchase a 7qm?

As i come from Europe and the airline alows just 20kg plus 5 hand luggage i have to calculate hard.

talk to your airline about sporting gear, Im heading to New Zealand at end of year for kite trip and had the same nightmare!! 20kg checked baggage and 7kg carry on is what I can take... turns out that my 22kg of sporting gear will take 5kg out of my luggage allowance so I can still take 15kg of clothes etc and still have carry on... make sence??? geez im even struggling with that!! but yeah... try to get over earlier as it gunna be an awesome season!!!

You'll be pretty safe with a 9m and 12m around then.

Around march the grunt is usually gone from the breezes (and they are less fequent) and you won't get too many days where you wish for smaller than a 9m.

Spacekiter the season lasts longer further north from Perth so yes Geraldton could be a better option at that time of year if Perth seabreezes have dropped off

I think but i am not 100% on this that you could even head as far north as Exmouth or go to spots on the way
