Saw some poor b*gger stack hard and for whatever reason ejected kite. Said kite then proceeds to float up north. I would have loved to some how helped out and rescued the kite but it was only my 8th time out and have enough problems standing up let along rescuing a disappearing kite.
It was a purple and white kite - my question is did the owner manage to get it back? Anyone else see it?
Cheers

I overheard some blokes talking about a kite drifting out past majestic parade. Don't know what happened in the end.. Kiting at Melville is like running a gauntlet!

All Ended well. Newbie got his kite back thanks to English bloke (will learn your name one day!).
Melville is an excellent place to kite. No gauntlet. Just a lot of keen kiters of various levels enjoying the sport.
It is a great sport.

So enthusiastic!
Few more laps around majestic parade might curb that down a bit.
I became a pro at self rescues and un tangling lines on my old airrush kite down there..
