Apparently the CoJ is handing out tickets now for parking in the "no stopping" zone. I got one yesterday. Shame!
I just hope they are investing my $80 towards security on the CoJ's public car parks

I saw the inspector giving the tickets out. Unfortunately he was onto the last car by the time I saw him.

One of the inspector/ranger guys that were driving around the beach today told a couple of us that some one who lives across the road is checking the spots, taking photos of the cars and then calling them to come out and give us tickets..

He actually told us to "spread the word" to the rest of the kiters.

They do this every year but people still insist on parking( walk from the car park no tickets given there yet JSC 30m AWAY) there when it s clearly signed that its for boat access( never seen a boat launched there though)

call me stupid but if you did the right thing and parked in the correct carpark then you wouldn't be whining about a parking fine.

I know one of the the rangers at Pinnas very well and he looks after AKS and is always friendly. He comes down gives us info on whats happening and AKS has a good working relationship with him regarding the reporting of thefts from cars and also identifying jetskiers who do the wrong thing.

You have yourselves to blame if you get fined.

There are over 40 car bays only 30m from the illegal parking zone, yet some people are just plain lazy. I say fine them!

Hey Nick,

The rigging area is a left over from when Pinna's used to be a boat ramp. It's an area set aside for people to tie their boats on, install bungs, put up aerials etc. The fact that the Pinnas boat ramp has been closed to general public since Nov 2005 seems to have been lost on the council.

I think parking in the horse shoe is asking for a smashed window. In most cases, a ticket is still cheaper than a smashed window and lost goods

Too many places for scumbags to jump into/out of the bushes in the loop.

A bit of coin spent on Pinna's could make it really awesome!

NSW's law `No Stopping’ zones. a $189 fine will be incurred for any violation. If, however, you stop in a 'No Stopping' zone that is in an operating school zone the fine is $243 and 2 demerit points.

Sounds like you got off breaking the law lightly
