Sorry all, the date for the AGM which has been advertised has been confused with last year. It is not on March 16.

We're in the midst of planning it now and a date will be announed in the next couple of weeks.

PS If anyone has a contact at a pub where we can hold a meeting (ie we can have a room for about 2 hrs) and then celebrate the season that was let us know... [email protected]

Cheers

WAKSA AGM and End of Season Party Wednesday 18 April 2007 @ the OBH.

Notice is hereby given that the 2007 Annual General Meeting of the WA Kite Surfing Association Inc. will be held at the Ocean Beach Hotel, Cnr Marine Parade and Eric Street, Cottesloe WA, on Wednesday 18th April 2007 commencing at 7.30pm.

Please ensure you arrive prior to this time as proceedings will commence at 7.30pm sharp.

The Agenda for the meeting will be as follows:

Welcome
Confirmation of previous AGM minutes
Receiving of officers reports
Annual election of Committee members
General business

If you want to breathe life into the sport, organise and participate in events, coordinate the sport for the members in your area or nationally, or help to see the WAKSA long term vision fulfilled, you should seriously consider becoming part of the committee.

Please consider contributing to WAKSA and working with the team for a better future. If you can't make the AGM, give your proxy vote to someone who can!

WAKSA welcomes any feedback, ideas, suggestions that members would like to have discussed at the AGM. If you would prefer to communicate these via email prior to the meeting then please email us at [email protected] so that we can consider all opinions.

WAKSA is also seeking people interested in running their own event, however big or small, to come to the meeting and raise their interest in General Business. WAKSA now has the infrastructure to pull off anything from a small fun non-competitive event to something as big as Kitestock. The only hurdle is man power. If you have something in mind please come along and we'll do our best to help you get your event off the ground.

For anyone who cannot make the AGM but would like to come along to our next committee meeting, it will be on Wednesday 3 April. Please email [email protected] to let us know and we'll send out the details.

The members of the WAKSA committee would greatly appreciate your attendance at the AGM.

WAKSA will be putting on some drinks for those who attend! You could call it the End of Season Party!

We haven't received much feedback yet - does that mean everyone is happy with everything we do? No one wants to see us do anything different?

Remember to email [email protected] or come to the AGM/Party!

How long would you expect the meeting formalities to take? I have invited a non-kiting friend who may not wish to be there for that bit, so should I tell her 8.30, 9.00 perhaps?

Hopefully the AGM shouldn't take any longer than 30 - 45 mins, really depends on how much New and General Business is raised.
