Wangarratta is playing host to the 2013 Vic Blokart State Titles this year.
They are being held on the 12/13th October.
The entry form is available at the Vic Blokart Association website http://www.victorianblokartassociation.com.au/events-calendar.php

Entry cost is low and the hospitality from the NEWC is awesome. You must be a member of a club associated with the Australian Blokart Association in order to be elegible to claim a placing.

Camping sites are available at the venue with great utilities available to all.

For those of the VBA heading overseas to compete in the NZ Opens on the same weekend, we wish you good luck and safe travels... I'd love to be going with you.

Cheers

The Vic States are all over for another year.

Congratulations to the winners of the three divisions, 1 Production and 2 Performance divisions.

Day 1 we faced light winds and frustrations as some of the guys were wondering why they were there. There were a handful of guys who did make the most of the light winds, the outstanding performer was Graham Oliver (MBC) who showed everyone how it was done in the light stuff. Ben Lazzar, Mike Dale and John Nettlebeck were there as well tussling for positions.

Day 2 we had a light breeze in the morning, but at least it was more consistent. After a few races the breeze was increasing and the smiles were showing everywhere. The 4mt sails come out, and some of the lighter guys opted for 3mt sails. The racing was fast paced and we saw some of the guys who struggled on day 1 come through to the front of the field.

Speeds of 65+ kph was recoded, spin outs and stacks happening everywhere.

The NEWC guys were fantastic, really well organised and the entertainment was brilliant.

Thanks to the ladies and gents at the North East Windsport Club for again hosting the 2013 Victorian Championships.

Regards
Tim
