Can anyone tell me about their experiences traveling by air with a blokart? Is there a large oversize fee? I want to travel from Alberta to some of the good venues in the U.S. I don't have time to drive, if a blokart is easy to take along on a flight, it might be worth getting one.

Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian, people travel all over the world with them. A lot of aussies and kiwis will be taking their own to Ivanpah next month. Sailing performance I use the blokart bag and a sail bag for all the extras. All up about 45kg. You need to check each airlines policy so as not to get stung for excess!!

As Arjay said, check the airline policy carefully. Some are really good, but some can cripple you financially.

Also, make sure you deflate your tyres. If forgot once and ended up with a blow-out due to the low pressure on the plane.
