Race starts ...two minute dial up horn, one minute horn, start countdown + the start horn itself, will be broadcast on FM Radio at this years' State of Origin 4. The FM Frequency will be announced on the day.

[image]http://hunterlandsailing.com/Small FM.jpg[/image]

Race entrants are welcome to bring along a good quality FM radio receiver, (or mobile phone with FM radio built into it) to hear the race starting prompts clearer.

Whilst recommended, it is not compulsory to have an FM Radio Receiver.

Cheers

Qld practice day today at Hamilton on concrete surface with average 12kt NNE winds saw 15 karts darting around a tight course. With 2 all-in 10 lap races it was anyone's corner and gave old and new karters a taste of racing mayhem and manouvering for position. The kids generally kick butt at the start but at 4 laps down on come the QUEENSLANDER DESTROYERS who will be eyeing off individual trophies and Qld honour at Evans Head.

GO QUEENSLANDER

See you all in a few days time and The Mexicans better get that trophy polished up for us to take home.

I would Just like to congratulate the organising team and all the helpers for another extremely well run State of Origin event.

Excellent racing with 18 races on the Staurday and much the same on the Sunday, good wind both days made for tight racing in all classes with the slightest mistake allowing for placings to change regularly.

I'm sure with the excellent venue we have, and the ability to put on a very well run event we will see many of us back there again for another series next year.

WOW i nearly forgot.........the cup now has a new home, well done QLD, we all sailed hard to acheive the win, but we must thank the VIC & NSW Teams for the comaradarie shown throughout the whole event.

Cheers to all

State of Origin 4 - NEWS STORY.

Many thanks to both the Vic & Qld teams for their great Sportsmanship displayed throughout the weekend,
... all State Teams should be very, very proud of your efforts and your Sport.

The fantastic company throughout the weekend made the event a great success.

Loads of Fun with close action racing, and quality sailing from 46 entrants over the 44x races held
(including 6x Marathons).

Many thanks to all that made the effort, and travelled long distances from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland,
(special thanks to Barry from WA, and Greg from SA, more than happy to include more states in the future, or a combo 4th state.)
