As you have decided on a blokart, what you need to cover most field maintenance situations are the following:-
1. Two half inch combination open end/ring spanners. (For chassis bolts that will need tightening after hard sailing.)
2. One 6 or 8 inch shifting spanner. (For axle nuts.)
3. A can of Lanox (Inox with sheep fat) for rust prevention at the axle and mast insert points and for general slicking up.
4. A piece of rag or two to wrap the spanners in and for general wiping down.
All of the above can be stored in the zip compartment in the top of the lid of the blokart bag.
5. A foot pump for tyre inflation and a tube puncture repair kit. (These will fit inside the blokart bag just where you unzip it.) (The tyres are only 2 ply rated and dry grass stalks will puncture them.)
6. A battery drill and quarter or five sixteenth drill bit (check the size) and a hacksaw. (For when, not if, you snap the end of/off your pulley whip.) (Hacksaw the end off square, insert, drill, reinsert clip, continue sailing.)
If you have all of the above, you will be armed and dangerous and at a race meet and could probably hire out your hacksaw, drill and bit for $10 per minute to the numb nuts.
Most blokart sailors are not very forthcoming with help or information because they are so tight arsed about winning races.

Happy Hint. Blokarts go really fast on hot mix bitumen. Caveat:- A hot session on hot mix will rip out a set of tyres in 4 hours. You can hear the rubber peeling off but it is damn good fun.
