Hi guys
Just visited the local recycle centre at the tip this morning, found everything I was not expecting. Not much in the way of steel (which is usually rusty anyway) but did score a sail (pink - doh!) and found someones rusty land yacht! Was not expecting that at all. It was good to look at, I know now that i will use plastic wheels all round on mine after seeing the rust damage on the rims.

No mast, but at least i have a sail - bit on the crumbly side on some of the plastic sections, but should be able to patch up enough to catch some wind. Would i need to modify this sail, or just go for it with the way it is?

Also found a nice looking plastic rims wit bearings, but the other side of it was cracked - so that was no good!

Will see if I can start cutting some metal this weekend.

Brett

give it a good scrub with some bleach to kill the mould, if it has the battens, it will be exactly the kind of sail I was cutting down in the beginning.
Youll get better at scrounging. eg vacumn cleaner tubes make great extensions for fibreglass masts
