Hey guys,

I'm missing my main sheet off my landsailer. What rope size and blocks would you recommend?

Cheers,

Adam.

Well don't all talk at once!

I was thinking 10mm, and I've noticed that 3 falls seems to be the norm.

If you spend the cash on a 12mm sheetrope(proper yachting sheet rope) you will never look back. you dont need spectra.
I use 42mm diameter Riley rollerbearing blocks as they are only a bit more expensive than the lower end price of some of the fancy brands dont go down to 8mm as it will cut into your hands.

Ok cool, thanks Nikrum. I'll be heading into Whitworths at some stage to pick up some Ronsans.

Just don't use the bundles of rope that can be obtained cheaply from Bunnings, they have more stretch than your Nana's undies...

Yeah, no won't be doing that Gizmo. I grew up with sailing and have been in some rough conditions, so I have a healthy respect for a length of good quality rope.

yeah see if you can get the rileys, good low cost alternative
if not then ronstan is good, harkens are great but really pricey. you can go with bearingless pulleys for casual use, but try to find some rileys first
