We finally got some wind over 10 mph so we took the new LLF (aka "the Spruce Spartan") out to see what we could do. We sailed in a very bumpy dirt parking lot, destroyed the inside wheel bearings on both sided and had a blast!! Every modest increase in speed or the slightest lifting of a wheel left us howling with enjoyment.
I think that there are at least three guys up here in Alaska who are hooked on land sailing. My two pals and I had never done this before but we are sure going to do it again.
Well the spruce rig seems to be working alright. You got her right Bob.
Also the land sailing bug seems to have got you right too Bob.
Now is when you will spend some more dollars. The basic LLF Mini is a great platform for fun sailing but they do like decent wheels. Have a look at desert yank's yacht. He can put you on to wheel deals in starry stripey land.
