Just got a report from Commodore Cook who enjoyed a night at the lake and a massive sail today. All the water remaining on our side of the lake has moved 5km south of the peninsular. this means that with the NW winds that have finally arrived you can get in a 15km downwind run before you hit the splash and 12kms north to the mines. The water to the south is quite shallow and may be dried up by the long weekend. Apparently the salt is exceptionally smooth and dry . Commodore C. came back without having to clean his goggles.
