OK, cant wait for the photoshop help file to download. For the benefit of the technologically challenged, how do you reduce the size of a 2Mb image suitable to put on here?

Hi Barry,

If by chance you are using photoshop elements which comes with most new canon digital camera's, there is also an option in the "File" menu which is "Save for Web".

Select this option and the program will chop most of the guts out of the pic, without affecting the screen quality.

Computers only display at 72 ppi (pixels per inch) so anything more than this is wasted when veiwing on a screen.

If you use the resize option in the "image" menu, choose "image size" and then change your bottom setting to 72 ppi before specifying your image width etc. 500 pixels width at 72 ppi will normally be an ideal size for displaying on forums etc.

Hope this helps.

Warren.
