Can anyone shed some light on what the landyacht in the centre might be?
It belongs to the Scouts in Darwin and possibly came from the Scouts in Alice Springs or Adelaide originally. Looks to be about class 5 dimensions with 8 inch alloy boat trailer wheels all around. Steel tubing T frame that may have pulled apart at the axles but is a one piece in length and is tapered towards the front wheel. Identical twin fiberglass seats on an aluminium checkerplate deck. 2 piece ?? thick wall aluminium mast that is held by a through bolt at the base and clamped at the brace junction. A PVC sleeve slides over the mast where the boom contacts. It needs more wind to get it going than an LLM on Gunn point beach because it is heavier. A bit of a pain to move around, needing a long trailer or tray to carry it.
I'm stuck in isolation 3200 km away so unable to get any measurements easily. Working across state borders has not been fun lately.

Hi Mulgachook,
my class 5 in Kalgoorlie looks very similar apart from the seating. Was 1 of 10 made in 1991 as a fleet to race in Kambalda on the salt of Lake Lefroy.

Thanks for the detailed photos. They definitely look like they're from the same stable. I am guessing our one is a scaled up version to make it a two seater. A bit wider and a larger sail from the same manufacturer.
