I resolves the main danger with recumbent bike that really scares me, and that is the fact that you're below drivers line of sight. The sale makes a really good safety flag!

Something to do with the state of the world........ tells me that this has to be the future, world wide, POWER to the cycle, the power's that be should be accepting that people will do what is necessary to maintain their ability to move with the least draw down on the earths resources. Sail and solar power are required for a sustainable future planet. Who wants to be the first to add flotation and paddles to the recumbent, coming to a waterway near you soon

I borrowed and rode one of these types of recumbents on Ivanpah in 1990.
couple of simple rules for safe operation.
DO NOT get going fast as they get a steering wobble, do not stop pedalling , as they get a steering wobble,. If they get a speed wobble , DO NOT brake
being short and low they tend to "HOG"( the owners term) and roll easily. The gods can only imagine how bad I would hurt myself if I put a sail on one

Last time I enquired in WA you couldnt sail a landyacht on a road, BUT if it had pedal drive to a wheel , it was a bicycle, so it just needed brakes , reflectors.
