Woo hoo, Conservation and Land Management are to grant access to Lake Walyungup for this season from this Friday. Busy bee to be held Sunday to get all the club assets shipshape, then we're away! I bet there will be a few getting some early practice through next week - self included.

Bazl,

I spoke to a guy from the clulb who said there would be a couple of trial days before the official season starts.

Can you shed some light on these, and when the season proper kicks off.

Thanks

Warren.

Is Walyungup accessable to anyone and where do you enter from? Are there local "rules" one would need to be aware of?

Depends what you want access for. If you want to sail or fly model aircraft, then no problem. Anything else the ranger tends to ask questions.

The fact I enquired on a landyachting forum I thought might have given you a clue.

You would be surprised the length some people go to trying to get access for other purposes.

If you are a Sandgropers member you can go down anytime. See the website for details www.landsailingwa.com.au/

Yeah, there were stacks of trailbikes and quad bikes on the flats at Pt Gawler. They have a huge area of bike tracks, why waist your time on the flats??
