Well after copping one too many eyefulls of sandy, salty water kicked up by my own back wheels I decided my wrap around sunnies weren't up to the task. So I got a pair of these. The quality seems pretty good for the price. I'm yet to test them out in anger but they feel like they seal up pretty well around the eye.

We use safety goggles. They fit overtop of my presecription glasses, you can get them with tinted lenses which is great for salt. They seal well against the face without getting sweaty and you can get clip on face shields which I use if the wind is stong and flinging up sand or salt. The best thing is they are very reasonablely priced and easy to get.

PS if you want your goggles to last longer do not wipe of the sand/salt as the lenses get scratched wash them of in a bucket of water or spray with a squeegy bottle

The goggles shes talking about are actually sandblasters goggles and have a orange rubber sealing lip and polycarbonate lenses. They are tinted and with that and your sunnies underneath they are just right on the salt. I often wear them when not sailing just to keep out the glare

Yeah, I found that one out the hard way. Now I carry a gerry can of water on the side of the trailer with a tap so I can wash my goggles and me.
