Ive got an old Garmin 72, some have Etreks. Richard sports a military unit from a missile set to minimum readings. Iwould like to try something with more data download capabilities , but its always the bucks. we are saving to go to the worlds in Argentina in 08.
Photos of new windjet now up on photos section. now youll see wierd.

you sail back with the wing flying "upside down". its not as slow as you might think in that way

I thought if you snapped a wheel off at 150kph, you be picking up pieces from Lake Lefroy to Perth

No it just lay down> Ive got the offcut from the axlein the shed. 4 layers of carbon fibre and the lake only wore through 3. It was bck sailing by lunch time saturday. It sailed consistent 147kms all afternoon. that A'noon Vindicator coveredover 250km and sat on windjets tail all afternoon. more wind required please as the sailing wasnt even hairy enough to raise a sweat

richard says he needs to rework the wing and steering systems on the yacht, but after putting in some quite impressive runs on the lake I'm sure he can taste the possibility of a record in thge air.
It will be be great to see him back and sailing.

Landyacht, so what happened, did he come back for a second run at it yet?
And what happened on your long weekend race days, and photo's and scores on speeds?
Most of us following your comments, and you went all hush on us You prang the yacht or bust a wing or something?

sorry world, Weve been rather busy catching up with the real world. We actually got out for a sail today on a local claypan.
after the long weekend we all raced home and got back into the six day weeks, etc.
Best speed of the weekend was 123.4kph in only 12knts of wind. by bill Finch ,back in VINDICATOR. in 9-10 knts you could sail up to his yacht to say hello but when the wind picked up that tiny bit it shot off into the distance sailing at double the speed of the minis and class 5s.
WINDJET is in busselton and I believe Richard is looking to return in March/April with all the control and steering systems ironed out. He has mentioned bringing the original windjet from the US as a backup unit.
