Hi,
I have a new Mini Yacht 5.60, with standard curved aluminum mast and 2 used sails: 4.5m2 and 3.4m2.
I was looking at the battens of the 4.5m2, and the one in the middle is very stiff. Especially compared to my previous 4,7m2 Frog sail:
- 4.5m2 middle batten weight: 3.2 kg
- 4.7m2 Frog sail middle batten weight: 1.1 kg
Battens weight is measured as per
dynaflexsailbattens.com/technology/Would some one have "standard" batten weights for land yacht sails of different surfaces?
This may look like a strange request, but in A-Cat we measure those and often have them.
This is to get some order of magnitude of what is to be expected, and be in the ball park. On the 4.5m2, the battens are not from the manufacturer; all different, and alternating super soft with extra hard. So not a good reference...
Best regards,
JM
