Regrettably, yours is not the only negative response about the former Arnold's business, which passed into the hands of an administrator and subsequently, a liquidator.
As a consortium of experienced marine retailers, we purchased the unsold stock and online presence from the liquidator of the business, Worrells Solvency & Forensic Accountants. Worrells, who were appointed liquidators on May 21, 2021, previously had been appointed administrator of Nold Trading Pty Ltd (the operator of Arnold's Boat Shop).
In terms of the unsold stock that we purchased from the liquidator, we're totally committed to providing better warehousing, ordering, communication, sales and distribution systems for marine and recreational products.
None of us have any previous connection or relationship whatsoever with the previous Arnold's business. Sorry, but why wouldnt you buy the stock and begin on a totally clean slate, rather than begin behind the 8 ball?

Goodwill is worth bugger all when it has a sour taste.
Maybe our experiences were just bad luck??

Search engine ranking and indexing is probably the only value they get out of this business. The business has been around for a few years and will rank much higher than a new business.
I tried contacting Arnolds asking if they would be interested in selling the business after I had a couple of negative experiences, it was clear that whoever was managing it was struggling but the business had potential. In this case the Google ranking would have been of good value, a massive head start compared to a new business.
