Hi all,
I am wanting to haul out my Roberts 27 and put it in a yard to work on it. I want to know slips people recommend for price but also allows owners to do work. I am based in Gladstone but also have helpers in Brisbane, so ideally near these places would be great!!!

Capricorn Cruising Yacht Club at Rosslyn Bay is close by and at the cheaper end of the price spectrum for haul in/out and space to work on your boat.

If not Granville in Maryborough, try the Boatworks on the Coomera river. I now use the Fishermans Marina travellift in Urangan for haul out, $350 in and out, $45 a day hard stand for a 33 footer. If you get a marina berth they are tolerant of discrete works on your boat. Like a total refit, but no mess.

I built two cats in Maryborough and know a top boat guy there who doesn't charge the earth if you need a hand.

Have heard good things about the boat works.

Horizon is im told...currently between owners and best avoided

( wouldn't want get stuck on the hard if the marina doesn't sell and stops paying all bills )

Boatworks are excellent and you can buy just about anything you need for your boat in the marine precint.

So I have possibly found a couple of places with a bit a land I could put it on and removes the pressure of working in a yard. But has anyone had much experience with getting a boat moved by truck? What sort of costs? TIA
