I was thinking of heading down to the Mandurah boat show tomorrow with a few purchases in mind. The weather is either going to be crap in which case I wouldn't want to go. Or the the weather is going to be great in which case the show will be packed because todays weather is crap.

I have been to a few boat shows but never bought anything. Are boat show prices generally going to be worth the effort or could you usually find comparable prices by shopping around?

We had a nice run down yesterday with a NW'ly and heading back home early tomorrow with hopefully a nice WSW'ly

a few boats to look at, nice new Bavaria 51, Catalina 35, couple of Cats, a few big stink boats and lots of runabouts and fishing boats. Seems a few good buys on fishing gear, plenty of flashy electrics on display. Not sure if many screaming bargains but I'd guess most "boat show specials" are usually around 10-15% off RRP which can probably be found by shopping around, but it's good to get a hands on play with stuff and info gathering.

Nice way to spend a few hours wandering about though.
