We are considering a new boat and moving from Sydney Harbour to Brooklyn. Mooring map shows availability at The Gut. Anyone know what situation is with tenders and access? Thanks.

Very restricted/expensive parking + ? dinghy storage ?

thanks, think we will do a recce on the parking situation at the weekend. We have an inflatable with the current boat and take it with us each time. We get a Walker Bay tender with the new one. Even the small inflatable is a bit heavy for me to handle on my own onto the roof or deflated into the car.

Definitely worth a recce,especially at weekends ,as gets very tight.
Used to pop in there for a break,on the way home ,but has become too fraught,especially if get entangled with a caravan .
? Get a new/lighter inflatable,that is more manageable with a collapsible trolley+transom wheels.
+ Walker Bay a threat to life,unless has inflatable gunnel rubber !

Gee planter are you suggesting that the walker bay dingy is unstable ? . less stable than a inflatable sure, but no less than any other rigid / proper wee boat ? I've been tossing up between getting a walker or building one of Ian oughtreds tenders

Ok . Maybe being a bit harsh. Had the 8ft sailing version,trying to recapture childhood,but at 1.8m/100kg,with ? back,was an error !!
Aesthetically pleasing,compared to wee square boats/catamarans,but not as stable. Easily driven by mini 18lb Watersnake/25amp lithium battery. More manageable with gunnel rubber,but then not the item to leave on the foreshore dinghy rack,as most pinchable !
Sold on to a family,with pre-teens, as sail trainer = ideal + fits well on roofracks / all gear fitted inside .
Get the 10footer ?
Now have dinged up 10ft Tinny,under the tree,with removeable transom wheels,driven by 24lb Watersnake,that gets you there - just, but not in any breeze !
