I sailed out of Cairns a couple of weeks ago to get out of the cyclone season, There was lots of speculation about this years wheather pattern and i made my mind up... Bravely run away to southern waters for summer. Woke this Chrissy morning to see a category 1 cyclone crossed the coast at Cairns at 4am! Hope all my cruising sailing buddies are safe!
