I have a few big chips in my paint job. Its faired fairly well over the years however there's one side / corner thats pretty bad as you can see..

I'm not keen on repainting the whole boat but it is an option.... I just don't have the time. I'll peel the name off this side to ensure a good finish some sort of patching process works...

Is anyone aware of a "patch and polish" process or has anyone got tips on products I can colour match with? Can I just fill with white tinted car bog and paint over with single pack paint?

Fill with plastibond (Bunnings) , it also helps to add white pigment into the plastibond first.
Find a crash repairer with a paint colour I.d match camera,
Get matched 2pac put into spray can and spray light coats. (Will last a couple of days once mixed).
There's also a can that blends the repair into the exiting paint to complete the job. (Blendit)

Personally - I would not bother.

It seems as though the pic you posted shows about 20-30 small "holes" on the paint. You are making a decision to only do something with the very largest. I would expect, if the paint is peeling here, that the rest of it could do with some help.

If this was my boat, I would start sanding each hole and feather the edge. This would expand the hole greatly. Then you would find that you can't fill in the hole left by paint once the edge is feathered. But if you don't feather the edge you will have unstable paint at the perimeter of each fix up.

I would book another 4-5 days on the slip next antifoul. First day - Sand the entire boat with 120 (be careful and only where the edges need rough treatment) grit at first and then 180. The boat would look awful at the end of the day with large splotches removed. This may take two long days if the boat is around 35ft. At the ednd of the second day you roll on a coat of high build epoxy primer undercoat and another one the next day. Try to make it nice and smooth but don't worry too much about orange peel. Get some antifouling done now too.

At the start of day 4 you run over the boat with some cheap black paint thinned down hugely. Apply with a rag and wash over the boat. This is a guide coat. Then go over the entire boat with 180, then some 240. Nice and smooth. It is satisfying to do this part until all the black is gone. Then you wash down and then use thinners over the lot to clean her up and you can spray (but most places don't let you) so you roll on some top coat. I use Wattly Poly U 400, or whatever they call it now - High opacity white is best.

I don't roll and tip, I just roll. Use the small foam rollers at Bunnings and buy 5 packs. Thin the paint enough so that you get some work time and keep a wet edge. After a day you will have a nice looking boat. You can go wet on wet, when the paint is actually tack dry but not fully cured, about two hours or so. If you want, you then can sand with 320 or 400 and then buff to get her really shiny, but I usually just leave the orange peel on. Then forget for 12 years because you did a good job in one go.

The boats only 25ft... The sanding you're talking about doing is pretty extensive... Once the chips are feathered are you suggesting I fill or will the process of a couple coats high build epoxy primer sort that?

Adding so much paint is a little concerning seeing as though I have already multiple coats of paint on... I guess that's why such extensive sanding is required and will also reduced the thickness of the high build e... Hmmmmm.... Half a job gets me a few good looking years. A decent job will get me 10 or so...
