Does anybody have any information on the Cole 34?

I know all about the Cole 31, Eastcoast 31, Pawtucket, Cole 32, Bounty, Nantucket, etc. but nothing about the Cole 34.

Especially interested in this boat;

Any comparisons to the Bounty 35?

Yes I am aware it is strip planked vs fibreglass, but I am not worried about that, having grown up around wooden boats.

I don't think there's any close comparison to the Bounty and Pawtucket, which were IOR boats. I've checked out this 34 while motoring past a couple of times and it's apparent that it's one of Cole's later non-IOR shapes, with a much fuller stern. There was a lovely 48 footer called Eagle from the same part of the world and similar construction back eons ago which seems to be this boat's big sister. This boat also looks more like a Traditional 30 style of hull shape; another nice boat; many of the advantages of the IOR style yacht but without some of the disadvantages

Spot on on Eagle, in fact both were built by the same builder!!
Eagle is now owned by a WA gentleman but kept at Prince of Wales marina in hobart and is beautifully built!!

Actually it does look more like the Traditional 30 hull shape. Good point.
