Anyone got a pair of deck shoes they rave about? My tired old feet are needing something better than bare or sad old Volleys. I'm probably limited to whatever WW's carry, since I want to try them on before I buy

Cheers, Graeme

I have been wearing Sperry Topsiders Authentics two eye since 1979 . Have one pair for the boat and one for casual. Think I'm about ninth or tenth pair
The authentics with rubber soles have great grip . Frankly better than the current volleys

Crocs. Preferably the real ones!

Graeme, just once a year buy them a bit cheaper at Aldi. You can try them on in store ))). Usually $35 to $40
Not the best advice, but sometimes it's best to buy things before you need them. (Just don't tell a woman that).

I was recently surprised by how easy cheap ( Kmart / big w) mesh running shoes cope with everything from ratlines to oysters, i believe that the white soles are the cheapest, and it seems the other colours are laid on top & as such so they can be rubbed off if they cause deck marks or

I have some expensive and reputable sailing shoes and boots, they're great, but I usually find myself wearing Crocs or Volleys... watch the French offshore racers, from the Mini 6.5 to Ultim Trimarans, they're often wearing Crocs...

I have a pair of new ones from Aldi size 10. They don't fit me cos I have wide feet. Free to a good Home!

Another option is fishing shoes. I use a Shimano sandal/croc type from a tackle shop, and they have good grip on the deck. However they also made a boat type shoe which had poor grip.
