Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect two different gauges to the one depth transducer.
At the moment I have a transducer connected to a Raymarine i40 display which connects to my Raymarine STng network which works fine.
I have just scored a Ticktack Sailmaster which has a depth display included & wanted to hook up to the depth transducer as well.
I don't think it's possible to just connect the two lots of 3 transducer wires together because of the transmitting pulses etc.
My idea is to connect the depth transducer to a Raymarine iTC-5, which will connect it with my STng network & then to the i40. Then connect the Tacktick 3 wires to the i40 connections.
If I make the i40 a repeater would this work????????????????
I don't really want to try this in case I "fry" something!!

The Piezoelectricity Effect and Ultrasonic SonarPiezoelectricity is the electric charge that some solid materials can accumulate when mechanical stress is applied to them. Echo sounding is just one of the many commercial and industrial technologies that relies on piezoelectricity.
Under ideal condition you can use switch selector and switch them over, but
problem is, any piezo or crystal ceramic device is tuned to specify extremely nerow frequency.
would not except any other but good thing is if you push wrong frequevency, no damage done.
its a matter try ....if they identical, will work.
