I have never been on a Bounty 35, only seen pictures and the technical specs. Beautiful looking boats, but I may be biased.

At the bottom of the stairs on the 31, a 6 footer can stand, but it gets lower going forward. Also the bunks will only just fit, 5' 10" is a much better fit (or be really short like me). Having said that, I have had a couple of mates over 6' help do deliveries to / from Hammo and they fitted for 5 days at a time. One of them owns a Sydney 38 and commented that there was more room downstairs in the EastCoast.

As there is normally only my partner and I, we have modified the table with an in-fill to the starboard bunk and sleep across the boat (it makes a king size bed). Some drawbacks, but works well for us.

As the 31's heritage is racing, they tend to require some fixing up and a few mods to turn them into a cruiser. Built like the proverbial outhouse, and just love a big sea with a breeze, especially to windward.

I realise this is a tad off topic, but have you got any pics of the table modifications you have done to create a king size bed berth?

i ask as wifey's one & only requirement for any future boat, is that it must have room for a double/queen/king size mattress, but I have no want to spend heaps on something modern.
