Evening All,

As you know we sold our venerable UFO34 Olfrygt a little while back, and bought a new pocket rocket Sydney 36 called "This Way Up". We've had her almost 12 months, and are now really getting her flying, true to her winning history.

We've just returned to Freshie from the Fremantle Sailing Club Winter series - Our Fifth - A great regatta! We had a cracker, and have made a terrific video.

Shameless self promotion I know, but we had a ball at Fremantle, and reckon it's our best vid yet! Turn the sound up Loud!!!!

Brilliant vid, thought you did a hell of a job putting that together, T W U's a screamer and is hard on the eyes, you have to be pleased with her, well done.

8 is full crew, and in fresh to heavy conditions, we need that weight on the rails, and everyone is busy when we round marks. Light air we might go with 7, even 6 for a drifter.

The big red kite going astern was our luffing buddy "The X Factor". I was steering that day, and did not even notice!! They are a Foundation 36 (BW36) - Very close in rating & performance to us. TXF has a great winning record & is very well sailed. They use to kick our arse, so we a very pleased to now being consistently in front of them.

There are plenty more vids, photos, etc on our website:

Glad you all enjoy our bragging!!!

You guys picked up a few flags towards the end..??

I still vividely recalled our first Fremantle winter series in 2007 on Olfrygt, our old UFO34. We learnt a lot very quickly, usually the hard way! But those lessons really stick, & we still enjoyed it.... and have just kept on improving over the years!! It would have been hilarious to have a GoPro cam to capture some of our more forgetable "learning experiences" from past seasons....

We picked up a third in the last race. Only three onboard & two of us will be sailing our own boats during the summer, unfortunately leaves Deiter needing some more crew.
