Hi!

This might be an odd post, but anyway.

I'm can arrange to have a few days in Sidney around 5-13th february (exact days unclear) and would love to do some sailing - however not on my own. Anyone with sailing experience interested in getting together and renting a sailboat? Or want to me to join on your boat, sharing fees and expenses? Myabe 3-7 days or so.

I've done some solo sailing (>6 weeks), a longer trip over the North Sea (not alone) and some other stuff. Have licenses and such that's needed to rent a boat.

I'm a nice and social guy from Sweden :-)

Anyone have other ideas of forums, other than this one, to look for people for this?

Cheers Carl

Well, that might be a start of course...

OK, which ones? Can I find them on the internet? Do they have forums?

I took the cheap shot with the spelling suggestion Lol.
Try putting "Yacht clubs Sydney Harbor" into Google.
Most clubs have websites and some have forums.
You "SHOULD" find them friendly and helpful.

But when doing a search, try spelling "harbour" correctly.

So, spelling seems to be important for sailors, to judge from the answers in this thread...

But I guesse it's simply so that "harbour" is the Brittish version and "harbor" the American? ...Don't know which is considered correct i AU though...

By the way, I found many yacht clubs but only one with a forum, and that particular one wasn't in use... So if anyone is interested in sailing, or further recommendations on how to get in contact with the right people, are still welcome.
