Hi

I have a boat on hard stand. I am wondering if folks here can help me identify who made her and what model she might be.

I would like to get her in the water. My intention is to offer 2 * 1/3 shares in ownership but I need to identify her.

Hopefully some may be interested.

The style is known as a pod cat.
In photo #3 it appears to be of strip plank construction using narrow strips around the tight curves up and over the deck with wider strips on the flat hull sides.
The hull shape is slightly reminiscent of the earlier designs of John Shuttleworth, the dog box on top looks like a home brew effort.
It is entirely likely that the whole boat was self designed and built from ideas purloined from various designers

Very large motor a long way back on that boat. Cavitation is going to be a problem.

I am aware of cavitation. Just wondering how is that going to effect the performance of the motor. Will it induce vibration?

It's all going to depend on where the bow waves from the hulls meet. The usual outboard/catamaran mounting position is well forward and close to the hulls, pair of 9hp to keep the weight off the stern.
I have a single 3.5hp centre mounted on my catamaran yacht tender. I had to make a large cavitation plate to get the prop to bite at all in the first place. I then built a Korts nozzle and now have no cavitation and good directional control. Vibration will not be a problem.

You could be correct. I was told that it folds and have seen the joints.
