For getting out of the water after a swim, I've got something similar to this:

www.bcf.com.au/p/blueline-aluminium-boarding-ladder/M115679.html

I think it probably came from Whitworths (the BCF one has terrible reviews) but their website is no good at present.

It folds and goes in the rear compartment, and when needed hooks over the side. Not an easy climb in full kit when the boat is underway mind you.

I gave a friend a hand yesterday to launch and recover his Cole 23 trailer sailer. He had one of these permanently mounted up near the bow. Probably OK for pulling into the beach. It was very compact but it might be a bit frail too.

Boats for sale too here.

The ladder can clearly be seen port side forward.

If you go out on your boat by yourself it's nice to have a permanently fitted boarding ladder just in case you find yourself in the water accidentally. It can also be nice to have when boarding out of your tender.

.on my Redwitch I bought a folding ladder (3 rung I think) from Whitworths that I bolted to the transom. Apart from swimming I regard it as a safety device to get a mobile MOB onto the boat. Tried it several times, slightly inelegant but did the job.
