They will make excellent yacht tenders. I use a Windrush 14 for the same job. Long oars and a 3.5hp Tohatsu.

Wow that is some "tender". All you need to do is add a sliding seat and it would really be interesting

My question is just out of interest as I have enough (or should I say too many) projects on the go.

The Caper Cats were a fairly well thought out and designed thing.

The in-hull storage, as long as it is not weight overloaded, make them a viable close coastal cruising yacht for two people. This was proven not long after the product was launched into the market place when two of them with two aboard each were sailed from Brisbane to Hayman Island with a support crew travelling by road and meeting up with the sailors at predetermined beach stop off points.

The event was written up in, I believe, Australian Sea Craft magazine which morphed into Cruising Helmsman magazine.

The article was titled "The Hayman Caper" and I did read it but that was a looooong time ago.

If you want to donate the Caper Cat to a worthy cause, look here.

That should make someone guilty enough to donate.

I bought my Windrush hulls complete with the original tramp and alloy beams on a galvanised trailer off eBay for $73.
