I just sold my old boat. New owner will be moving boat to a new mooring. I know that I must notify TfNSW within 14 days of the vessel transfer. That is straight forward. I will likely do that sooner rather later.

The question is how soon must vessel be removed from mooring? How soon do I cancel mooring licence? Is it linked to vessel transfer automatically or do they wait for me to cancel?

I am in a heavily wait-listed area so will hopefully be able to sell mooring apparatus to new licensee as long as vessel is similar size, otherwise we cop the cost of its removal.

I agree with bob, the BSO will be able to notify the next inline that the apparatus is available. I've recently bought for not much $ an existing apparatus in a mooring field move and gave my old apparatus to an old mooring neighbour whom lost his in a flood. A win win situation
