Hi Guys / Gals ,

Does anyone know of the operator of the Koolewong Slip on the Central Coast , and if owners are still allowed to carry out their own work on a hardstand their ?

This is my first post on Seabreeze forum , and I like the look of the site .

Thanks ,
Brad Geyer .

Do you mean the slip at Point Clare? That one is outside Marine Rescue Central Coast. As far as I know they use it for hauling their boats, you could ask them if you are a member I guess. I don't know of one in Koolewong or Murphys Bay. I believe that Marmong Point Marina have bought the restaurant and land at Murphys Bay and are going to develop it as a Marina so that could also be where you are thinking. They do have a link from their web site about the new development.

Hi Watermark ,

Sorry mate , I just thought there was only 1 Slip in the area . Personally I don't have much knowledge of the area up there , I own a 25ft Top Hat Mk1 that is moored at Brooklyn , that I want to work on myself , possibly at The Koolewong Slip ? . In the past I have read online about guys using the Koolewong Slip , to carry out there own anti fouling ( etc ) there .

Any information in regard to the slip I may be referring to is appreciated

Thanks ,

BRAD

Have you spoken to Machans Marina at Booker Bay? You used to able to do your own antifouling there. If you want a long term hatd stand you could have a problem on the coast, you may need to come up to Lake Macquarie.
