Went past this boat in the tender this morning , talked yesterday with the owner and knew he was going to drop the mast single handed on the water. Didn't know he was going to do it that day. Haven't seen this method before.

That's the normal way. Just have to have the lifting point above the spreaders. Easy for one person.

I should add that this is easy with a deck stepped mast. Not quite so easy with a keel stepped mast!
