i have been well informed over previous days on Aqua cool air systems / freeze tec inc .....if you have a old unit and have problems Let me know.... I'm more experienced than my local refrigeration mechanic now ! If only I could have the R22 pump!

My experience with marine aircon is.....fine when out on the open sea, a total pain in the ass, when live you aboard in marina. I continually had the intakes clog up with flotsam, the berth was clear when first on board - then overnight the tide changes and you wake up surrounded by crap. (marina next to a very large river in northern PNG). plus had power drop off issues the further out in the marina you where, so had to use genset.

Personally I would just use a $300 ($400 if you want rev cycle) 4kva portable from Bunnings etc.....work fine, if they fail...just get a new one. And reserve the marine unit for when at sea.

If you keep the strainer clean and its pumping water and gassed you it will serve you way better than a bunnings job ....... It's part of the machinery now! and I think it's more efficient than the fridge now Only just!
