Treks on a commercial mooring of Colin Beashels in Pittwater. They just called me and let me know RMS are prowling around and one by one checking the rego on all the boats on moorings up there. Maybe RMS are finally doing something about mooring minders or its a case of finding unregistered boats and hassling the owners to get a few more $$$ in the coffers?

Well, I suppose that if everyone paid up there'd be more income and less costs in enforcement. This means that, in theory, we either get better services or cheaper costs.
Since not following the rules & regs is a choice, I'd be pretty happy if those blokes paid up. I spend a bit of cash making sure I've got the rego, safety gear, it's all maintained etc. Not sure why anyone should get away with it.
Is anyone in favour of unregistered boats? And if it gets rid of the odd mooring minder, I'm in favour.

RMS has copped flak for allowing old hulks to take up needed mooring availability. I received notice recently that an inspection was to take place in my mooring area (so they give you a warning) and I noticed this week a couple of the mooring minders and their respective moorings no longer cluttering up the cove.
