Hi everyone.
i have scored myself a mooring standing pole and I am unsure of how to rig it up.
Its a 2m piece of conduit with a weight and one end and a float about 1foot above the weight and designed to have what I believe is a rope coming from the mooring up through the conduit tube and perhaps looped at the top and fed back down...?
is this correct and could someone guide me in the right direction?
happy to submit some photos if that helps.
Thanks
Mine is similar, with a length of 14mm three strand about twice the length of the conduit up the centre shackled to the mooring loop. The other end has a loop spliced in large enough to fit the mooring cleat (the splice prevents the line disappearing down the conduit) which enables me to hook up to the mooring by myself if conditions are a little difficult, then sort out the correct mooring attachment as the boat settles down.
