I am interested in mooring a boat 7.7m but am not sure of cost or where is the cheapest. Any advice would be Wellcome

I'm based in frankston. Near the Mornington Peninsula.

W'port is very tidal, which might be OK or it might be hassle. There the closest moorings to you will be Warneet (swing moorings to buy) or renting a berth at Yaringa marina or the Hastings marina or buying a swing mooring there.

In PPB you might have only Moordialloc, Mornington or further south such as Mt Martha or the Rye area, but a bit exposed.
Ebay and Gumtree might be the best way to find moorings for sale, otherwise paper notices stapled to notice boards. Websites for the marinas, but it depends on the budget too.

Put an add on a yacht club noticeboard. There are a few moorings that don't have boats on them that you might be able to rent for about $100 a month. Make sure the owner gets it inspected and maintained. The rental will cover the cost of the annual inspection and maintenance and could come in handy for the owner who has his yacht in the marina and wants to keep their mooring. There are a few if you ask around Blairgowrie.

Talk to Warneet YC in particular
